As now is happening in some European countries, the outcross with other breeds has started ( purebreds are not allowed by law to be bred anymore) as this is going to be the only way to fix the health issues in the CKCS, to bring some size back into these little dogs heads that can comfortably accommodate their brain, by breeding for longer snouts and only from dogs that have healthy hearts. This is going to be a process which is going to take some time, health checks are being performed for as many issues that can be tested for at this stage. Temperament plays a big part in matching who to breed as healthy, stable and well adjusted puppies are a priority. Our Guarantee All dogs have undergone a Full Breed Profiling test for all diseases and traits specific to the breed(s), before being bred to assure that only suitable dogs are being brought up. We suggest you take your puppy to your own vet within a few days of arriving to ensure puppy has traveled well and it settling in okay. The Spaniel Project breeds to strive for healthy, happy, well adjusted family pets. As a result, puppies are: * de-sexed ( or come with de-sexing agreement , fully vaccinated C5, micro-chipped in your name and have a full vet check before they will be allowed to go to their new home at 12 weeks of age.

We live around 13km out of town in a rural setting, on which we have an closed in insulated airconditioned front veranda where our girls whelp and raise their babies. We give all our dogs free run of the house through an open doggy door, allowing them to come and go as they please. We have lots of space outdoors and we have a huge puppy play area set up with slides and other enrichment toys. We play lots of different sounds around our puppies including music, mowers and tools to which they get desensitised, along with the usual household noise and outdoor noises such as planes and trucks going by.
